In 2018, Danny Budimir asked a question few dared to voice: What if soccer in America could be both elite and equitable?
From that question came FC Select - a semi-professional club built not on privilege, but on potential.

We started with 11 players and a single field. No corporate backers, no glossy marketing. Just raw talent, sweat, and a belief that merit should be the only currency in the game.Over the years, FC Select has grown into one of Illinois’s most respected developmental programs, competing at the highest semi-professional levels while staying rooted in community values.

To identify, develop, and elevate top soccer talent while maintaining a no-fee, merit-based structure that champions access and integrity.
